Church Ave Reconstruction and Improvements

NYC DDC
PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project included the removal of trolley tracks, installation of manholes and 15” of E.S.V.P. combined sewers, replacement of 12” combined sewers to 15” combined sewers, house service connection, installation of catch basins and chute connection, small water main offset, curb and sidewalk, road pavement, street light, traffic signal and pavement markings. This project encompassed street level improvements and sub-surface work, such as relocation of water mains and replacement of existing infrastructure (combined sewers, catch basins, manholes/chambers, street-lighting and traffic signals).  As a result, there was community impact while the construction progressed.  Although most of the construction work was performed during daytime hours, there were times when night and weekend work was necessary.

KAG Engineering, PLLC [KAGE] provided an Office Engineer that was responsible for all office duties following strict DDC project protocol on a construction project.  These duties included coordinating project meetings, ensuring the project remains on schedule and on budget, organizing project files, managing the payment information management system and submitting the Contractor’s payments.

KAGE also provided a Community Construction Liaison that was responsible for the coordination between the project and the community.  This included the community boards, garden associations and the general public.
