This 6-month NYSDOT Highway Work Permit project involved the widening of NY 495 North Service Road [Miller Place] to provide a deceleration lane and entrance into the new Amazon Distribution facility located at the corner of Miller Place and Robbins Lane in Syosset, Nassau County, New York. The project included full depth asphalt pavement widening, traffic signals improvements, utility pole relocation, underground electric utility relocation, new curbing, sidewalk replacement, ADA curb ramps, drainage improvements, pavement striping and signage. The project also includes the widening of Robbins Lane for a deceleration lane and entrance to an existing NYSDOT maintenance facility opposite a new entrance to the Amazon Distribution facility.
